Cancelling or Rescheduling

24 hours in advance

We have a very strict cancellation policy: Any cancellations, rescheduling or no shows (within 24 hours) could result in being charged for the full appointment. To avoid being charged, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try and fill the reservation. If we can fill the reservation, you will not be charged. We would also be happy to accommodate rescheduling for an earlier time or day.

Running Late

Let us know an hour ahead of time

Please arrive on time. If you come later than 10 minutes, it will be up to the discretion of the stylist. You could be charged for the appointment if we are unable to take you.

Big Change Coming?

Feel free to bring inspiration photos

Feel free to bring inspiration photos of people with similar hair textures. We can discuss ideas and which ones work with your goals and lifestyle. We can offer professional guidance, but the choice to stay long or go short has to be yours! Remember – our job is to make you look and feel amazing, not to impose our aesthetics on you.

“Long” or “Short Hair” Appointments?

For feminine styles we consider “short hair to be pixie length or a short shag/layered cut below the ears to the hairline. “Long hair” is any bob style or longer. For masculine styles, we identify “long” hair as below the neck in the back, or reaching the collar bone in the front. Our services are gendered because some stylists have more experience and training than others with regards to achieving certain looks.

Haircutting Etiquette

We hope the following tips will help you to have a better experience:

Please arrive a few minutes early or as they say, "if you arrive on time you're already late."

Please have an idea of what you would like. If you have trouble vocalizing, feel free to bring picture of someone with similar hair in that style.

Please arrive with clean hair. If you are someone who does not shampoo often, please schedule your appointment to coincide with a shampoo day.

While it's okay to let the barber know what you want, trust us when it comes to actually cutting your hair. Please do not tell us how to cut your hair.

We get a lot of questions about tipping. The Emily Post Institute recommends the gold rule of 20%. Like many other salons and barbershops, we only take tips in cash. Please be prepared ahead of time, or we have an ATM on the premises for your convenience.
